Tall Purchases: Finds from J.Crew

Elevated Style | J.Crew Tall Purchases

Above are two of my most recent tall purchases from J.Crew. I had to order them online since J.Crew rarely carries tall sizes in store (so lame!). I’m still waiting for them to arrive. Hopefully both items fit—fingers crossed!

  1. The J.Crew Tall Midrise Toothpick Jean in Carbon. After having much success with the J.Crew Midrise Toothpick Jean in Distressed Indigo (as seen in this post), I decided to invest in another pair of tall J.Crew jeans. These jeans have a 33″ inseam, so I’m expecting them to just graze my ankles. I ordered them in size 29T.
  2. The J.Crew Tall Blythe Blouse in Silk. I needed a simple blouse that was versatile enough to tuck into skirts and wear over pants. At 29″ long, this tall blouse is about 2″ longer than the regular size. I ordered a size 6T.

Look for a full review on these tall items in the coming weeks!

The dress pants are long enou for me. I’m considering buying a cotton pair bc I don’t like dealing with dry cleaning. I want to give the Minnie Kant a try in tall also. The sleeves on the regular blazers are surprisingly long, but unfortunately they’re way too tight on my shoulders :(

The J Crew Blythe Blouse in the Tall size is amazing. I own it in several colors. It is really beautiful but delicate. Wendy’s Lookbook does a video on ways you can wear it:

A recent purchase of mine is the:
Tall toothpick jean in polka dot (navy). I love it. I wish the mint version came in tall and the tall lengths for cropped pants were an inch longer. Banana is quite long (36 inches) whereas some of the cropped styles IMO are a bit too short.

I love the tall sizes for blouses and dresses at Jcrew. Too bad they don’t have more!

I’m loving your new blog site! :)

Thanks for the note! I took a look at the video from Wendy’s Lookbook…I love how she paired the blouse with a fuller skirt. I might have to try that soon!
