Do you find that stilettos and dainty shoes look lost on your tall frame?

Your ankles will thank you because sturdy, chunky heels are back in style. AND they are flattering (and functional!) on tall women.

When paired with the right outfit, chunkier heels can help slim the ankle and balance out tall proportions. Here are some tips I’ve learned over the years on how to wear chunky heels:

  • Chunky heels under boot-cut jeans is a no-no. This will look too clunky! When you wear chunky heels—especially chunky ankle boots—your pants should stop at your ankle.
  • Chunky heels look best with skinny jeans, cropped pants, leggings, or tights.
  • Chunky heels can also look great with a mini or pencil skirt. Just make sure your hemline falls above the knee.
